It was hot, it was loud, and it was full of people. I am talking about the scene downtown, or rather “Uptown” as they prefer it to be called. During the summer, our town has a weekly concert on Friday evenings, which usually has a lot of people in the crowd. Friday, May 22, 2015, the crowd extended almost all the way down the block (it’s a long block).

If you can’t handle crowds, you could spend that time on our town’s only rooftop bar (The Social) which is at the street corner behind the stage. It’s a smaller crowd up there, and you can hear the music pretty well. They also have a decent beer selection if you like beers.
I spent time in the crowd and had to take time-outs. I was fine for a while but after a while all those people being around me doing whatever kept creeping me out. I ducked into Maltitude, and Ride on Bikes/Ride on Smoothie and Juice Bar on a couple occasions just to take a second and let go of some tension from the crowd.
If you are looking for a growler refill and you are in the Columbus, GA region… Maltitude is the place to get a refill. Ride on Bikes is the place to rent a bike if your downtown, there are other bike rental places in town as well. I would recommend Ride on Bikes and The Bike Shop of Columbus both have a good selection of rental bikes and staff who can get you going in just a few minutes. Both places are excellent to buy a bike from, I have purchased from both shops and have been pleased with both bikes.
Why do I have two bikes? That’s something for another post.
I had my repurposed iPhone 4s with me this Friday and took some snapshots/snapvideos (is that a word? Oh well it doesn’t matter it is appropriate for what I did)
